Museum in the Park is a series of two-hour science sessions at various local parks. The day will be from 9:30am - 11:30am and limited to 15 children each.

The Details:

  • There will be 3 different programs
  • The programs take place at area parks
  • 1st-6th Grade
  • Participants and staff will wear masks
  • It's a two-hour time slot from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
  • $15 Non-members; $12 Members

Wacky Water

Explore the unique and amazing properties of water. Race boats with soap, create a water picture, a density column and so much more. Come prepared to get wet and messy.

Fantastic Fizzes

Plop-Plop, Fizz Fizz, oh what fun it is. Create a variety of chemical reactions that make gas. What is a gas? How do we know it is there? What happens when a gas passes through a liquid? Can we use gas to propel a spacecraft? Try your hand at making some fizzy messes.

Goopy Goos

What do plastics, diapers, slime, and so many other everyday materials have in common? Discover the world of polymers as you uncover the secrets of diapers and slime. Let’s make slippery, gooey messes!
